“G”
pen, marker, and colored pencil on G train schedule
2009
In case you dont know about the G train, here’s a few facts..
– The G is the Brooklyn–Queens Crosstown subway, running from 71st Avenue (Queens) to Smith–Ninth Streets (Brooklyn).
– It’s the only train that doesn’t enter Manhattan. Very useful sometimes, but… If you live on the G (like in Greenpoint) just a few miles from the LES or Chinatown, you gotta take THREE trains to get there.
– The G train is notorious for taking forever. 20 minutes at night (according to the schedule), but that might soon change to 30 minutes due to the budget crisis.
– When I asked the MTA guy for the schedule, he said “Maaaybe I can find you one back here, but I don’t know why you want one.. it’s like science-fiction”. He didn’t know that it’s best use is for drawing paper.

Comment by KayGoa June 5, 2009 @ 11:23 amThis is really excellent. Great appropriation of the pamphlet. It makes me want to do one with Boston’s # 66 Bus schedule… Cheers.
